The American College of Radiology specifies semi-annual physics evaluation of Magnetic Resonance Scanners. Bio-Med Associates provides semi-annual service which requires approximately one half day, and includes evaluation of the technologist's Q.C. program and evaluation of your MR safety protocols. Our physicist will provide you with documents specifying his education, certification, and continuing education which are retained for review during government inspections. Our office staff will also track and remind your facility when testing is due.
Bio-Med will provide consultation in acceptance testing and quality assurance testing of your equipment and related Radiological Physics matters. Service will be provided annually at a mutually convenient time; to collect, review, and analyze quality assurance data and provide other consultation when needed. Service will also be provided as required for ACR accreditation. It will take approximately 16 hours (two full days) to perform acceptance testing and 6 hours to establish a Q.A. program for ACR accreditation on your existing unit. The semi-annual service will take approximately 4 hours. This will be necessary if you plan on having the unit accredited by the ACR.
